Im Frühjahr dieses Jahres habe ich an der siebten Bead Soup Blog Party von Lori Anderson teilgenommen. Es war grossartig und hat eine Menge Spass gemacht. Einige Zeit danach erhielt ich eine E-Mail von Christine Stevens, leitende Redakteurin der Jewelry Affaire.

Earlier this year I joined the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party by Lori Anderson. It was a really great event and I've had a lot of fun. Shortly after I recieved an email from Chrisine Stevens, managing editor of Jewelry Affaire.

Cover der aktuellen Ausgabe

Die Jewelry Affaire ist eine amerikanische Zeitschrift für handgefertigten Schmuck. Sie planten einen Sonderartikel über Lori und ihre Bead Soup Blog Parties für die Herbstausgabe im Oktober. Christine fragte an, ob ich einige der entstandenen Teile für diesen Artikel zur Verfügung stellen würde. Natürlich wollte ich, und so schickte ich ihr den Schmuck für ein Fotoshooting.

Jewelry Affaire is a magazine that showcases handmade jewelry. They planned a feature about Lori Anderson and her Bead Soup Blog Parties for the Autumn issue in October 2013 and ask me for publishing some of my pieces in the article. Of course I sent her my pieces for a photo shooting.

In der neuen Ausgabe kann man nun einen zehnseitigen Artikel über Lori Anderson und die Bead Soup Blog Parties lesen. Auf einer ganzen Seite sind meine Schmuckstücke abgebildet (oben links), und auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite die wunderbare Kette von Stefanie Teufel, die ich schon während der Party auf ihrem Blog bewundert habe (oben rechts).

In the new issue of Jewelry Affaire you can read a tenpage article about Lori Anderson and her Bead Soup Blog Parties. One entire page shows my pieces of jewelry (picture above left) and on the opposite page you can see the artwork of Stefanie Teufel (picture above right). Stefanie is also from Germany.

Auf einer Übersichtsseite kann man die ursprünglichen Bead Soups sehen, auf denen die Schmuckstücke im Artikel entstanden sind. In meinem Fall waren das die wunderbaren Teile von Lesley Watt, die meine Partnerin war. Danke Lesley!

Inspiriert

Letztes Wochenende war ich in Wertheim. Dort fand zum elften Mal das Glasperlensymposium statt, des vom Verein GlasperlenSpektrum e.V. jährlich organisiert wird. Es ist eine wundervolle Veranstaltung für alle Perlenmacher und Liebhaber von Glasperlen. Es war großartig!

Last Weekend I was in Wertheim for the 11th Glassbead Symposium. It's a annual event for beadmakers and all people who love glassbeads. It was really great!

Wie jedes Jahr wurde auch diesmal ein Wettbewerb organisiert. Dieses Jahr hiess das Thema 'Inspiration Kunst und Malerei'. Ich habe mit einer Skulpturengruppe am Wettbewerb teilgenommen, die von Alberto Giacometti inspiriert ist.

Every year the society of glassbeadmakers GlasperlenSpektrum e.V. arrange a contest. This year was the subject 'Inspiration Arts and Painting'. I participated with a little group of sculptures. My inspiration was Alberto Giaccometti.
